CHRIS SIGURDSON IS AN ACTOR/ DIRECTOR/ INSTRUCTOR AND MASK MAKER.
Directing and Acting Credits include Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre, Prairie Theatre Exchange, and Manitoba Theatre for Young People. He is familiar Rainbow Stage audiences for his performances of Captain Hook (Peter Pan), Lumiere (Beauty and the Beast), and the Wizard in the Wizard of OZ.
Chris works regularly as an Acting Instructor at the University of Winnipeg Theatre Department.
Chris is a performer with the internationally renowned company Faustwork Mask Theatre.
Chris has been making masks for over twenty years. He has designed and created mass in Leather, Papier Maché, and neoprene latex.
Chris studied mask performance techniques with Rob Faust. He studied Commedia dell'arte performance with Reg Skene, and in Italy with Antonio Fava.
Chris has been teaching for over twenty-five years. (University of Winnipeg Theatre Department, Prairiee Theatre Exchange School, and the Artist in the Schools Program.
